In 2015 iLCP partnered with local Panamanian scientific organizations, the ministry of the interior and international conservation organizations like UNDP, the Smithsonian, and Island Conservation for a a multi-expedition effort to document the marine and terrestrial treasure that is Coíba Island and its National Marine Park. Facing modern day threats, the goal of this project is to help raise the profile of the Coíba in the eyes of Panamanians and audiences around the world so that the public's value of the island will help preserve it for generations to come.
